Welcome to Cal Raijin Taiko, the Japanese drumming group at the University of California, Berkeley
The past two semesters have been amazing, from fall tryouts to Invitationals. Raijin Taiko has grown so much
and in the past year has built new sukeroku-style stands, a new Odaiko and stand, reskinned drums with more
on the way, and has the experience of our own showcase concert and a community workshop under our belts.
Along with the talents and ever growing bodies and minds of our members, we hope to bring you even
better performances next year.
For all those interested in joining Raijin Taiko, our tryouts will start around the second week of the
fall semester. More information will be posted regarding tryouts as the next school year nears. Have an
